आईपीसी 1860 अध्याय
18 की धारा 489 क,ख,ग,घ में रूपया का जो कूटकरण करेगा उसे इस धारा के अंतर्गत आजीवन
कारावास या दण्डित किया जायेगा ।

चेप्टर 10 :
A tender of payment of money, if made in
coins which have been issued by the mint in accordance with the provisions of
this Act, and have not been called in by any proclamation made in pursuance of
this act, and have not become diminished in weight, by wear or otherwise, so as
to be of less weight then the current weight, that is to say, then the weight
(if any) specified as the least current weight in the first schedule to this
act, or less then or less then such weight as may be declared by any proclamation
made in pursuance of this act.
